|For lack of a reflecting pool, a rain puddle will do. One of the attractions in Kensington is the LDS Temple which is visible from I-495 and especially beautiful at night when traveling west on I-495. Beach Drive is the access road from Connecticut Avenue and for those walking the trail along Beach Drive, the temple offers imposing views. On the trail earlier today I thought that framing the temple between two trees would make a nice picture but without my camera then I had to return later on. Alas, my idea did not work as well as I thought it would but instead I found a semi-frozen puddle of water that reflected some of the temple, although, because of the ice, not enough of a reflection to make it attractive, but a little patience and a long stick were enough to break most of the ice and have a shallow reflective pool. The result is the picture on the left.
