|I had the honor – and what a thrilling gig! – to video the wedding of Saiqa and Owais yesterday. The day started at the beautiful Islamic Center in Washington DC where the happy couple made their religious vows and it ended at the Afghan Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia, where the couple’s friends and family put on an out-of-this-world show and party. More to come later on when I get time to edit the video but now I just wanted to share a picture of the beautiful young couple as they looked right after the religious ceremony.
The Islamic Center is a beautiful place and I intend to visit again and write a bit more about it.Best,
|It has been a bit over year when I photographed Natalia for the first time, still happily inhabiting in her mom’s womb, and since then I have photographed her a few times, with the last posting of her picture in this blog when she turned six months old. A couple of weeks ago that precious little thing turned ONE WHOLE YEAR old! Of course she had a terrific birthday celebration but she and I were more interested in pictures 🙂
Here is a gallery of her pictures going back to Day 1; the first three pictures are of the most recent ones.
|My youngest model is three months old! I started photographing Natalia even before she was born, at about the eight months mark of her mom’s pregnancy and today I had a great time taking pictures of her with mom and dad. By the end of the photo-shoot session Natalia and I were both tired and about to crash, which she did promptly, but I did not have that luxury; I had to pack my gear and I had to drive home. I hope to follow Natalia at least through her young years and take pictures of her at some interval so I can see her growing into a little girl.
The picture below is Natalia taking a nap after the photo-shoot and here you can see some of the earlier photos of her with mom and dad. I will be adding today’s pictures to the gallery soon.
